Case for Support: Joining with the Alliance on initiatives that Build could open doors to complete the following projects: Specific Projects to be Funded: 1. Board Training Investor: At The Alliance we believe that an investment in your board is an investment in your organization. Our board members attend a yearly two-day event that help develop and hone leadership skills that cross over into their district and societal leadership roles. Do you believe in continued leadership development? If so, this may be a funding opportunity for you. 2. Data Collection for Trends in School Nutrition: This ongoing project is focused on gathering data on enrollment, use of federal programs, menu planning, participation, sustainability actions, and more. 3. Improving Communications and Resource Material Development: We regularly use outside resources for marketing, graphic design, and videography to create, promote, advocate for, and showcase the impact of school meals in large urban districts. Funding in this area would allow us to continue to create high-quality materials to expand our reach. Looking for Greatest Impact? Support General Operating Funding that will further our BUILD initiatives. Unrestricted gifts give us the flexibility to respond quickly to emerging opportunities, apply our expertise, and influence school nutrition systems at scale — creating benefits that reach far beyond our 3.8 million students.
